Pearl’s Story

Pearl, a Paint mare was our first “rescue” at OGR, even before we became an official 501(c) (3) nonprofit large animal rescue. Her prior life was at a farm in Molalla, OR where the owner was completely overwhelmed with too many animals, a husband with Alzheimer’s that she cared for at home and she was still working! Her sister knew us and asked if we could help by taking Pearl. She has been with us since 2014.

Pearl is a true palomino beauty and at the age of 21 she behaves well in most horsey situations by being calm and compliant. But make no mistake, “Princess Pearl” rules!
